General admission to Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest is free; ice skating, games, rides, and food and drink are pay-as-you-go. Winterfest is a dog-friendly site. However, dogs are prohibited in the skate rental area, cabins, the Lodge, or the Rinkside Lounge. Service animals are welcome.
Please note: Skating and all amenities close 30 minutes before the park closes. Park hours are subject to change.
Holiday Hours
- Holiday Week: December 15 through January 3, 11 am-1 am (except holidays noted below)
- Christmas Eve: December 24, 1 pm- 8:30 pm
- Christmas Day: December 25, 1 pm-8:30 pm
- New Year’s Eve: December 31, 10 am - 2 pm (skating ends at 1:30 pm)
- New Year’s Day: January 1, 11 am-1 am (skating ends at 12:30 am)
- MLK Day: January 19, 11 am - 11 pm (skating ends at 10:30 pm)
- Presidents’ Day: February 16, 11 am-11 pm (skating ends at 10:30 pm)
Skelly's Boardwalk Games and Ride Hours
Enjoy a taste of the shore on the Waterfront with boardwalk rides and games ($5 - $10), the Ferris wheel ($6), and the retro arcade (pay-as-you-go). Available December 8, 2025, through February 18, 2026.
