The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) recently announced that the Lombard Circle ramp to northbound I-95 at Penn’s Landing will close for approximately two (2) years beginning Monday, April 7, 2025.
The closure is for demolishing the existing concrete pier between the ramp, Columbus Boulevard, and the pier and foundation construction for the new $329 million I-95/CAP project. The two main components of this project are the construction of a new 11.5-acre Park at Penn’s Landing and a new South Street pedestrian bridge.
