Looking for the perfect family block of fun this winter? Join us at Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest for Storytime & Skate with Characters, an afternoon of magical moments, cozy stories, and ice skating with your child’s favorite costumed friends on select Sundays this season.

Each event features interactive storytime sessions. After storytime, hit the ice together for a spin and make it a memory they won’t forget with surprise character appearances and plenty of chances for photos and hugs.
This event is free and open to the public. Ice skating and rentals are pay-as-you-go and can be reserved in advance.

Dates: January 4 (Wednesday Adams), January 18 (Thor), February 1 (Captain America) rescheduled for February 7, February 15 (Captain Marvel), and March 1 (Elsa)
Schedule:
- 2:00 pm: Take a selfie with the character as they roam the site
- 2:30 pm: Gather around in the Lodge as the character reads a story
- 3:15 pm: Hit the ice with the character as they show off there moves
All workshops take place inside The Lodge, a cozy indoor space at Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest. While you’re here, enjoy ice skating, seasonal eats and drinks, cabins, fire pits, and the Rinkside Lounge.
What to Know Before You Go
Parking on-site will be limited due to construction on the I-95 CAP. However, many great ways to access the Waterfront include walking and biking along the Delaware River Trail, rideshare, and public transit.
