"Mondo Cane" by Jonathan Santoro
08/01 – 09/12
Experience Mondo Cane, a large-scale outdoor sculpture by Philadelphia artist Jonathan Santoro, created for Race Street Pier. Set in the waters of the Delaware River, this thought-provoking piece explores big emotions like fear, sadness, and uncertainty—feelings many of us share during times of change. Free and open to the public. All ages.
As you walk along the pier, you’ll discover a work of art that asks you to pause and reflect. What does it mean to feel overwhelmed in a world that’s always shifting? How do we stay connected to each other and ourselves?
This waterfront installation brings public art to one of Philly’s most scenic spots. Whether you're here for the view or looking for something unexpected, Mondo Cane offers a moving experience right on the Delaware River.
The opening reception will take place on First Friday, August 1, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
