Job Description:

As a Dockhand, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Marina by assisting Marina Managers. You will communicate with Marina Managers and ensure the vessels are safely docked, secured, and maintained. Additionally, you will maintain a clean and organized environment. 
 

Responsibilities:

Operational Support
  • Assistant to the Marina Managers
  • Monitor activities around the Marina
  • Prioritize safety and efficient vessel movement
  • Help with tying and/or anchoring boats in place
  • Provide guidance and support to boaters entering or leaving the Marina
Maintenance and Cleanliness
  • Wash the decking daily
  • Assist with basic upkeep tasks
  • Assure facilities are clean and safe
Customer Service and Administration
  • Assist in processing payments for boat slips
  • Ensure that patrons adhere to safety rules and regulations
  • Provide friendly and helpful service to patrons

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong swimming skills and comfort in the water.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Responsible and punctual.
  • Courteous, friendly personality, and professional appearance.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet physical and scheduling demands of the position (walking, standing, lifting items over 25 lbs).
