GrioXArts' "Wings and Water: The Space Between" in partnership with the Mason Stitch Art Collective
07/05 – 07/29

GrioX Arts collective, in collaboration with the Mason Stitch Art Collective (MSAC) presents Wings and Water: The Space Between, a community art project aimed at amplifying marginalized voices on display at Cherry Street Pier from July 5 to July 29. Don't miss the opening reception on Friday, July 11, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. All ages. Free and open to the public.

The title serves as a symbol for free speech and the ever-changing nature of society. It shows how people don’t always understand each other, but also how stories can help bring them together. Wings and Water creates a 'flag space' by turning the American flag into a platform where people can share their voices and ideas.

This artwork was created through numerous community workshops, where artists invited participants to contribute by making embroidered bandanas for the flag. The project’s goal is to give everyone a chance to share their own stories and help start conversations, thereby building a fairer and more inclusive understanding of what it means to be American.

Join one of the free, public workshops at Cherry Street Pier in conjunction with the exhibition.

Parking on-site will be limited due to I-95 CAP construction. However, many great ways to access the Waterfront include walking and biking along the Delaware River Trail, rideshare, and public transit.
