What are the current safety protocols for Winterfest?
Our top priority is the safety of our visitors and staff. The Winterfest team is working around the clock to ensure that the site is safe for all by adhering to strict health and safety guidelines established by the City of Philadelphia and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as well as recommendations from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) including:
  • Requiring all guests to wear masks in enclosed spaces such as the Lodge, skate rental area, arcade, and restrooms.
  • Limiting site capacity
  • Staggering ice skating session times
  • Encouraging advance purchases to mitigate crowding and ensure seamless ticketing and skate rental experience
  • Conducting thorough, deep cleanings of all public spaces, including public restrooms, seating areas, and ice skates with cleaners that destroy viruses; and regularly sanitizing all public spaces, sneeze guards and partitions at all points of contact between visitors and vendors.
  • Providing handwashing stations and hand sanitizers at various locations
  • Ensuring all staff wear appropriate personal protective equipment
  • Continuously evaluating best practices and recommendations from public health experts
