Heads up creators, artists, designers, and the like. The Delaware River Waterfront Corporation (DRWC) is seeking designs for an exciting new flag exhibition coming to Spruce Street Harbor Park in September.
Applicants are encouraged to submit proposals focused on the idea of “commemoration” - to design a flag representing a person, place, or thing worth celebrating.
Here’s why you should apply:

DRWC will select 16 artists that will have a large, pennant flag printed and produced by the organization at Spruce Street Harbor Park.

All production costs will be covered by DRWC, too.

Accepted artists, will receive a $300 honorarium for their work.

The exhibition is based on an open application process, and applicants will be reviewed by the DRWC team.
Artist proposals are chosen based on the compelling nature of the proposed flag, clarity of intent, unique approaches to designing a flag, and public context.

NOTIFICATION OF ACCEPTANCE: Friday, July 14, 2023
IF ACCEPTED, FINAL DESIGN BY: July 28, 2023
