Celebrate the Season Safely Outdoors
The magic of the season is here and you and your loved ones can safely experience the merriment of a Winter at Winterfest. That’s right! Mask up and step outdoors for dazzling festive lights, amusements, ice skating, and sight-seeing from our physically-distanced seating areas. Plus, sip hot cocktails (for those 21+), while savoring piping hot funnel cake, Crabfries®, and more.
Our team is working around-the-clock to ensure that the site remains safe all season long. We have enacted strict health and safety enhancements set forth by the City of Philadelphia and continue to follow health and safety guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the City of Philadelphia, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We have enacted strict health and safety enhancements set forth by the City of Philadelphia and continue to follow health and safety guidelines set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the City of Philadelphia, and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Here’s what you can expect when you visit the site:
-
You’ll be required to wear a mask at all times, with the exception of when you’re seated and eating/drinking in designated areas.
-
Touch-free food and drink ordering in outdoor seating areas.
-
Limited seating areas around the site will help with physical distancing
-
Timed ice skating sessions will reduce lines at skate rental
-
Reduced capacity on the ice rink (more room to show off your moves!)
-
Staff disinfecting seating areas, bathrooms, and ice skates with cleaners that destroy viruses and regularly sanitizing all public spaces.
-
Sneeze guards and partitions at all points of contact between visitors and vendors and hand sanitizer throughout the site.
If you’re looking for a safe place to enjoy fresh air or outdoor dining this holiday, look no further than Winterfest. Stroll the spacious site with views of the Delaware River featuring signs along the way to help you physically distance.
Or, reserve a cabin or firepit available for up to 4 (four) people of the same household, or relax in our open-air Lodge filled with dazzling decor. Seating is first-come, first-serve. Through QR codes at each area, order tasty eats from Chickie’s & Pete’s, Skelly’s Pizza, and Skelly’s Funnel Cake and have it delivered right to your seat (that’s what we call service!).
We’re here to ensure you have the safest and jolliest season ever. If you have questions about our safety enhancements, please contact our team at Riverrink@drwc.org.
