The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is making great progress on the I-95 CAP construction project. Because of this, southbound Interstate 95 will be closed and detoured from Saturday evening, February 24, to Monday morning, February 26, between I-676/Callowhill Street (Exit 22) and the Morris Street on-ramp in Philadelphia.
PennDot is replacing and expanding the existing covered section of I-95 at Penn's Landing along the riverfront in Center City Philadelphia under the department's $329 million I-95/CAP project. Construction of a new 11.5-acre Park at Penn's Landing, and a new South Street pedestrian bridge are the two main components of this project.

Public amenities such as Race Street Pier, Cherry Street Pier, Washington Avenue Pier, and Pier 68 along the Delaware River Waterfront will be open and accessible during the detour. Review parking and direction information.

- From 6 am to 5 pm on Saturday, February 24, a single-lane closure will be in place on I-95 South between I-676/Callowhill Street (Exit 22) and Walnut Street.
