Friday Sep 21

Once again, Spruce Street Harbor Park Sustained by Univest (SSHP) will be closing out the season and celebrating fall with the FREE Fall Fest, September 21-23 (Rain Dates: 28-30). This year, the event runs for three days, featuring TONS of great music, FREE family activities, seasonal brews and food including pumpkin funnel cake, pumpkin pretzels, and pumpkin ice cream.

On Friday, September 21, the event kicks off with Salsa at Spruce in partnership with Dance Republic. We’re taking a very popular Latin Night at the Lodge event from Blue Cross RiverRink and letting it loose outside under the twinkling lights. The night will feature salsa and bacahata lessons followed by a social dance and performances with DJs Kevin Ngo, DJ Jeison Moreno, and DJ Joseph Sanchez. The bars in the park will feature beers from breweries within 50 miles of SSHP on Friday with some additional seasonal favorites from Yards, Evil Genius, Nodding Head, Philadelphia Brewing Company, Flying Fish, Victory, and Sly Fox.

Saturday, Sept 22 has a stage entirely programmed by Chill Moody from 12PM-10PM called A Day of nicethings. The lineup features:

  • Dj Geek

  • AP The Plan

  • Hiruy (Henry) Tirfe

  • Stassi Pryce

  • DJ Lean Wit

  • Dot Cromwell

  • Brian Lapann

  • Mus Matos

  • Dj Shorty Wop

  • Commonwealth Choir

  • Lauriana Mae

  • Luke O’Brien

  • American Dinosaur

  • Boogieman Dela

  • &More (Chill Moody & Donn T)

In addition to a full day of great music, the park will also have FREE pumpkin carving, a Greensgrow Farms farmers market and apple cider press, airbrush tattoos, face painting, and a flower crown making workshop. Saturday features breweries within 100 miles of SSHP. The park will play host all weekend long to one of the summer’s largest Art Star Pop Up Markets.

In addition to the beers from Friday, we’ll be pouring Saucony Creek, Lancaster Brewing Company, Ship Bottom, Cape May Brewing Company, Yuengling, Wyndridge Farms Cider, and Pizza Boy. Be sure to also try the collaboration beer between Dockstreet Brewing Company and Chill Moody called nicethings.

Come out to the park on Sunday, September 23rd for even more great music, drinks, food, and activities. This day starts with free Sundays with PopUpPlay and moves into Jazz in the Park with Julian Hartwell Music and Chris Stevens. Kids (and everyone else) can take part in FREE pumpkin carving, a Greensgrow farmers market and apple cider press, and face painting. On Sunday, we are featuring breweries of Oktoberfest.  Traditional Oktoberfest regulations note that the celebration’s beers must be from one of Munich's six breweries. We are featuring 4 of these: Spaten, Hacker-Pschorr Brau, HofBrau Munchen, Paulaner.

So… if you’re a music-lover, a beer-lover, a family, a group of friends, a couple, or any other combo, enjoy a fun filled weekend at the beautiful Spruce Street Harbor Park Sustained by Univest before we close for the season.
