Beginning on Tuesday, March 1, 2022, artists from Ball-Nogues Studios will begin the installation of a new piece of public art on the waterfront, Weaver’s Knot - Sheet Bend, a sculpture installed between Cherry Street Pier and Race Street Pier as a part of the Delaware River Trail.

Commissioned by the City’s Public Art Office and DRWC, Weaver’s Knot - Sheet Bend is evocative of an ancient mariner’s knot used to join dissimilar strands of rope. Selected by a committee of neighbors, artists, and city officials, Ball-Nogues is a Los Angeles-based studio.

The Installation will take a little over a week. Beginning on March 1, the bicycle trail will be detoured. Cyclists are asked to dismount and use the pedestrian walkway around the worksite until installation is complete. Thank you for your patience.
