Freedom Festival and Fireworks
Monday, July 1 through Sunday, July 7 at the Camden Waterfront

This week of family-friendly events include all of the attractions along the waterfront, and culminate with the Adventure Aquarium Waterfront Fireworks Spectacular over the Delaware River. Some of the weeklong events are highlighted below. For a complete list of events, please visit the Camden Waterfront website. 

  • Enjoy the finest food truck fare from South Jersey and Philadelphia beginning at 11 am daily
  • At the Battleship New Jersey, simulate the firing of the Battleship’s 16-inch guns with the new Turret II Experience every day during Freedom Festival!  A special tour will depart at 11 am each day!
  • Throughout Freedom Festival and through Labor Day, see Mighty Mike – America’s Biggest, Baddest Alligator at the Adventure Aquarium. 
  • From Friday-Sunday, enjoy a variety of Freedom Festival Activities at Wiggins Waterfront Park

Thursday, July 4, 10PM-2AM, at Morgan's Pier


First Friday Park After Dark
Friday, July 5, 7-9PM at the Race Street Pier

Race Street Pier First Friday in Old City extends down to the Race Street Pier where visitors can enjoy performances by students of the Pig Iron's School for the Advanced Performance Training while out on the waterfront. 

Fireworks at SugarHouse Casino
Friday, July 5, starting at 9PM

Need more fireworks after the 4th of July? SugarHouse Casino on the waterfront has you covered. The casino will be shooting off fireworks at 9PM on Friday, July 5th. Earlier in the evening, enjoy the music of the Soul Party Shakedown Trio. Continue the evening post-fireworks with music by the Sensational Soul Cruisers.

Wawa Welcome America! Taste of Philadelphia
Friday, July 5, 12-10 PM; Saturday, July 6, 12-10 PM; Sunday, July 7, 12-5 PM, at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing

Seaport Fireworks Spectacular!
Saturday, July 6, 6:30-10PM, at the Independence Seaport Museum

Celebrate America’s birthday at Independence Seaport Museum’s Seaport Fireworks Spectacular! Enjoy an evening of family, fun and fireworks on our 2nd floor balcony. Guests will enjoy prime views of the fireworks overlooking the Delaware River and family-friendly entertainment, face painters and crafts throughout the Museum. Light refreshments will be available for purchase while supplies last. Tickets include Museum admission and exhibits will be open throughout the evening. 

Paddle Penn's Landing

Every Saturday and Sunday through September 8, 12-8PM at the Marina at Penn's Landing

Anyone looking to enjoy the beautiful waterfront can rent one of the boats and enjoy the atmosphere in a safe, supervised environment at the Penn’s Landing Marina. Penn’s Landing Marina is located just south of the Hyatt Hotel, where the water is calm and the boaters will be removed from the traffic of the Delaware River. Kayak rental is $8 per person and includes a 10-minute overview on basic strokes, safety tips and supervision while on the water. The pedal swan boats cost $5 per person and are ideal for families with children under the age of 12. Children under 3 are FREE.
