Join us for a special South Wetlands Park public engagement event on Saturday, October 12, from 1 pm to 4 pm at Pier 68 (1751 South Columbus Boulevard, Philadelphia, PA 19148).
Learn more about the upcoming Park in South Philadelphia and this nature-based public space's fascinating features and activities.
The event includes a nature art program, 'Printing with Nature,' a hands-on craft for nature lovers of all ages, utilizing materials from the site. Cherry Street Pier Resident Artist Cassie Jones will lead this.
The BioBlitz will begin at 2:00 p.m., teaching and applying citizen science to collect valuable data. Bird, vegetation, and insect walks will be held. Participants of all experience levels are welcome.
No pre-registration is required. Please wear closed-toe shoes.
