About Ellen Siberian Tiger:
Ellen Siberian Tiger, a furiously feminist indie rock band fronted by Ellen Tiberio-Shultz, has existed under the same name for a decade but has seen as many as eight members. With the recent three-piece iteration of the band - Collin Dennen on bass and Adam Shumski on drums, Tiberio-Shultz has developed a deeper trust in their own ideas and ability, becoming more of a leader and creative director in the project.
Growing steadily since their move to Philadelphia in 2016, they’ve played alongside up-and-coming bands such as Vita and the Wolf & And the Kids. Their WXPN Key Session was listed as #4 in The Key’s best sessions of 2017, and more recently they recorded a new single, “Everybody, Always”, at Miner Street Recordings as a part of Weathervane Music’s Shaking Through Series, which was subsequently featured on NPR’s “10 Must-Watch Music Videos from Philadelphia.”
This summer, they’re re-entering the Miner Street Recordings studio to record their first full length as a three-piece, which will be released in the Fall followed by a US record release tour. Their upcoming album, although grungier and punkier, still has the same goal - to create space for healthy queer catharsis and healing where others will feel empowered to speak as well.
