DESCRIPTION:Set sail for a Philadelphia tradition more than 40 years in the making. The Philadelphia Cup Regatta brings sailors from across the region to the Delaware River Waterfront for an exciting day of racing, competition, and community. Free and open to the public. All ages.




Over the years, the regatta has welcomed more than 100 sailors from clubs along the Delaware River and throughout the Philadelphia region. The event continues a long tradition of bringing together some of the area’s most celebrated sailing clubs.


Meet the Sailing Clubs:


Liberty Sailing Club

Located on the Delaware River in Center City Philadelphia, Liberty Sailing Club is a nonprofit, member-owned club with more than 150 members. The club offers racing, cruising, social events, and access to a fleet of eight J/27 sailboats.


Riverton Yacht Club

Founded in 1865, Riverton Yacht Club is the oldest yacht club on the Delaware River and one of the oldest continuously operating yacht clubs in the country. Its long racing history includes the annual Governor’s Cup Regatta and more than 100 World, National, America’s Cup, and Olympic champions.


The Corinthian Yacht Club of Philadelphia

For more than 130 years, The Corinthian Yacht Club of Philadelphia has helped shape the region’s sailing tradition. The club offers competitive racing, sailing instruction, youth and adult programs, cruising, and recreational sailing.

What to Know Before You Go:

Parking on-site will be limited due to construction on the I-95 CAP. However, many great ways to access the Waterfront include walking and biking along the Delaware River Trail, rideshare, and public transit.
