Programming Intern
Who We Are
The Delaware River Waterfront Corporation (DRWC) is the nonprofit leading the development and programming of the six-mile Central Delaware River Waterfront, with parks like Spruce Street Harbor Park to our newest addition, Cherry Street Pier. We are an innovative organization redefining how cities use public space both in Philadelphia and nationally. We are currently seeking a Programming Intern to provide support to DRWC’s Programming Department. The Programming Intern will report directly to the Program and Event Manager and will work closely with the Operations, Communications, and Marketing Departments.

Qualifications: 
• Must be working towards a College Degree, have recently graduated, or have 2 years of event production experience 
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Detail oriented and organized
• Ability to write and speak clearly, effectively, and concisely
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to respond calmly to an emergency situation
• Ability to take the initiative when necessary
• Hard-working with a low-ego and an ability to work with many different personalities 
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.  

Responsibilities: 
• Coordinate event details for a variety of DRWC events within Spruce Street Harbor Park, Blue Cross RiverRink, the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing, Cherry Street Pier and other DRWC locations
• Work with event producers (internal and external) to collect and organize event needs
• Assist with program logistics as directed
• Attend Weekly Parks & Attraction Meetings 
• Coordinate event details with the Operations Department
• Communicate programming event details with the Communications and Marketing Department
• Manage diagrams, site plans, instructions, set-up requirements and supporting documentation for events and distribute to the appropriate staff members
• On-site management of events as needed 
• Work with the General Manager of all venues to create programming recaps for events
• Other duties and responsibilities as directed 
 
Additional Requirements:
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work early mornings, nights, weekends
• Ability to do light physical work including lifting boxes, hanging banners, etc.
• Driver’s license preferred, not required.
